This type has only a small area on the Somló-Hill. Our winery has 0,1 hectare from this type. Following the traditions of this wine region we produce barrel fermented and aged dry wine also from this grape variety. Full-bodiness and minerality of the wine and its fruity, muscatel character covers the typical characteristic acids. Unlike traditional varieties of Somló, the lifetime of this wine is shorter, and it is very sensitive for vintages. Due to the aroma and taste (beside Traminer) Yellow Muscatel is another favourite drink for women. This variery appears as a unique specimen in the Somló region.
